Be Prepared for Trips
The degree of difficulty in Adventuring trips ranges enormously, from easy ones that anyone can do with little or no special preparation, to strenuous ordeals that can challenge the most experienced, the best-conditioned, and the best equipped.

Problems can arise if you go on a trip for which you are not fully prepared -- whether because the trip is too physically demanding, or because you don't have the proper clothing or equipment, or because it will take longer than you had assumed, or whatever.

Accordingly, Adventuring re-emphasizes that trip leaders should be aggressive and pro-active in explicitly detailing any unusually difficult aspects, especially those that may prove daunting to the inexperienced, in their written and oral trip descriptions.

By the same token, we encourage those interested in going on one of our trips to contact the leader in advance to discuss any potential challenges or problems. Showing up unannounced at the starting point for a trip of unknown difficulty may be getting yourself into deeper water than you bargained for.

Good advance communications between trip leaders and participants should minimize the missteps and maximize the fun.

Photography Policy
Pictures can be displayed in the newsletter or on our web site only if the photographer secures the signed permission of every person shown in the photos. Trip leaders are encouraged to routinely bring a copy of our Release/Photo Consent Form on each trip in case somebody decides they'd like to take and submit such pictures. By the same token, anyone who thinks in advance they'd like to take pictures for our newsletter or web site should remind the trip leader to bring the release. Our web master and newsletter editor will not publish any photos unless they are accompanied by the completed release form.
